Our Step-by-Step Process for Wiring a New Home
- Meet with the homeowner and/or builder to discuss the project scope, electrical needs, and lifestyle requirements.
- Review architectural and construction plans.
- Provide expert advice on lighting design, power outlet placement, data, security systems, smart home features, EV charging, and future-proofing options.
- Create or review a digital electrical layout tailored to your floor plan and preferences.
- Position lights, switches, power points, distribution boards, and data points.
- Plan for appliance loads, hot water systems, heating/cooling, and ventilation.
- Include allowance for optional upgrades like underfloor heating, solar pre-wire, or home automation.
- Submit plans for client and builder approval before commencement.
- Coordinate with the builder and other trades to align on project timelines and access.
- Install temporary power supply if required for the construction site.
- Mark up the site according to the digital plan for all electrical points.
- Run cabling for:
